I’m a stand up comedian, writer, singer and foolosopher. This blog was created to entertain and to share  my experiences as a single woman in the big city. That’s right; New York. I like to call it the Big Onion. Loads of layers and occasionally it makes me cry.

Life is an adventure and while I am not Indiana Jones, I like to think that I am experiencing it all with a large dose of humor and humility.

Being single at my age presents no problems for me, but I think it’s mildly threatening to people who have their lives mapped out. Marriage didn’t really occur to me until most of my friends started families. When I hear people say, ‘Oh, you’re STILL single’ it makes me wonder about them. They’re implying that I had a life goal of hitching my star to a wagon in the form of a husband.
I’m too selfish for that. Plus, there are so many cute men out there who would wither away to nothing if they were denied the opportunity to hang out with me.

While you may be incredulous, this notion is keeping me positive and youthful looking so I’m going to stick with it.
