More about the Jena Six

David Bowie donated $10K to the legal defense fund. You know, I’ve always loved Ziggy Stardust. This is just another reason to dig him.

BUT, we’re gonna hear more about OJ and his dumbass or Britney or Paris or any number of completely moronic oxygen wasters, aren’t we?
I’ve had it people! Are we stewards for one another or aren’t we?

Take a look at this link.

There will be more, believe me. Gotta love George W. for having absolutely no opinion whatsoever.
Say what you will, he’s nothing if not consistent in his inability to articulate anything remotely empathetic or valid.
You know, it’s not even about it being so overtly racist, this case…it’s about it happening in America. This is my country. People are dying in the war for our ‘freedom’. I wonder how our soldiers feel about it. I wonder if any of them grew up in towns like Jena. I wonder if we care enough about one another.
I DO know that I have experience with just how unjust our judicial system is. My kid was in jail. He was given a harsh sentence. His white counterparts received a slap on the wrist and they had rap sheets longer than a Tom Cruise movie. (okay, that was mean)
Does this mean we need to change things? Uhh…what do you think?
Does this mean that we need to actually ENFORCE the laws that we currently have?
UH-HUH.
Jiminy Christmas, I am one steamed heifer. Partly because I know just how impotent those parents feel.
Say some prayers for them, will ya?
I know that I am.

Keep on truckin’. Stand up for something…anything, as long as it’s the truth.
If ya don’t you’re liable to fall for anything.

I absolutely agree. I watched the march today and was in awe. We live in a day in time where everyone should be treated equally. Both the black and white kids were involved they should have received equal punishment. I even heard a report where the white kid brought a loaded gun to school and was only expelled. Now to me if he brought a loaded gun to school, that would ensue trouble and even possible fatal actions. But nothing was done to him. I just don’t understand how we still exist in a world like this. It’s really saddening.
